If you are debating the purchase of a Good Sam Membership, you will likely find that the membership will pay for itself in only a couple of stays. There are lots of RV Parks that are members of Good Sam. Even when it isn’t listed on the website, always ask when you check-in and be sure to take your membership card with you. Also, there are some membership benefits for Camping World.
The Good Sam website offers RV parks reviews. It is a great list for parks located in all 50 states, but we did find that some of the Good Sam ratings on RV parks did not meet with our expectations.
We also purchased the Good Sam Roadside Assistance membership. After purchasing the Parks Membership, we received a discount offer to purchase the Roadside Assistance, so watch the mail for the discount offer. Like all Roadside Assitance programs, it is insurance, but unlike most, the amount it can save you if you have to have your coach towed because of a flat tire or engine problems can be substantial.
Good Sam also offers Extended Warranties and Insurance, but we haven’t used those services.

Definitely worth having the roadside assistance. We were in a State Forest campground 30-45 minutes from a town when we noticed a tire going flat. 1 phone call & an hour later the service truck came & fixed us up. Pleasant, helpful & free.
